Dr. Steven Y. Chen, MD graduated from the Ross University, School of Medicine, Roseau, Dominica in 2004.

He was then trained locally at Kern Medical Center, where he came as a medical student and subsequently stayed to do both his Internship and Residency at the Kern Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program.

He chose to stay in Bakersfield to raise his family after his training.  He has served the Southwest Bakersfield area since 2007.

He previously worked at:

• Sagebrush Medical Plaza (primary care)
• Sendas Northwest Urgent Care (urgent care)
• Premier Family Healthcare (private practice in primary care)
